Highlands Astronomical Society

2012

We reached our 100th member in 2012 and we were twinned with Dunedin in NZ. The Internet connection for the observatory was finally established and a new and larger monitor was bought using funding from Lifescan. Unfortunately, a sensor on the LX200R stopped working so had to be sent south for repair in a box made by members. Dr. Caroline Smith from the Natural History Museum spoke about meteorites as part of an open meeting.
