IMPORTANT!  Our observing sessions are, of course, subject to weather conditions, so always check the 'JSL Observatory' panel in the right-hand column for details as sessions may be cancelled at short notice. (Note: you may need to disable your browser's ad-blocker or whitelist this site if you cannot see the "JSL Observatory" panel on the right of the page).

Members may bring along friends or family, for which they will be responsible during the session. Please contact the Observatory Team in advance if you are planning to bring along more than 2 Visitors.

The staff will be setting up for the observing session and are therefore not able to attend to visitors prior to that time.

Although we don't charge admission, we would very much welcome a donation of at least £2 from those who attend to cover some of the cost of the upkeep of our Observatory. All staff are volunteers and the Society has charitable status (SC 037209).
